The greens were absolutely blasphemous!! One of the greens were so bad, they cut some fairway down and plopped a cup in it. I can't understand how these conditions even got like this. I understand a rough spot on a hole or two, but EVERY green was simply unplayable. There also was NO EVIDENCE of repair.. not even an attempt! The worst part is they charge 100% full price! Never going back.

Not a terrible course if you’re just looking to get some swing time. Very short holes, and mostly in good shape.. except the greens… absolutely awful condition and certainly not worth over 50$ to play. If you paid 30$ to just come hit and relax then sure but 50 is murder for the condition and difficulty of play.

Fairways were fantastic, but the greens need a doctor and maybe a miracle. Once they’re healthy again, I would give this course a 5-star review!

Took my husband for his birthday since this is the course he grew up playing. As a new golfer, I cannot give enough kudos to Phil who helped me shake my nerves with a great positive attitude. We will definitely be coming back to see him in the future! He also had nice things to say about his boss and the course in general as a nice place to work. This is definitely the type of business I want to support. Thank you Phil for giving us a great experience!

100% DO NOT recommend, especially for the price you are paying. Staff was bragging about how well maintained the course was at the start of the round. And to give credit where it is due, the layout and greens were in good shape. But for a course that has 19-22 sand bunkers on the course, some of the worst maintained hazards in the city AND THERE IS NO CONTEST. I haven’t even mentioned that it was over $150 for 2 players…. And yet not a single bunker is playable in the slightest. Ruts, pipes and sewage plates sticking out the concrete they try to call sand. I have over 80 rounds played on the vb area. There are far better options. For relatively the same price and better course maintenance you can thoroughly enjoy vb national, Redwing or Heron Ridge. For a significantly cheaper price and better course maintenance you can play kempsville greens, hells point, sewells point, ocean view, or battlefield. The ONLY course I would put below this one, in regard to bang for your buck and in regard to the course itself, is Stumpy Lake.
